The Jacklin Family (Ian, Melanie, Adam, Jeremy and Isla) introduced The Great White North (Canada, for those not in the know) to Tow Skim on Canada Day, July 1, 2014. An impressive all-out display by Parksville, BC Tribe, indeed!
A quick recap of the day, by Ian (“IronMan”) himself:
“Canada Day was very busy…. Lots of booths, lots of vendors in the Community Park. Very hot. From 10am – 3pm there was a constant stream of kids wanting to have a go on the Tow Skim board on the Jacklin-designed Tow Skim Slide. The noodles at each end meant that the board could ride over them and land safely on the grass, like a mini jump for the older ones. We estimate that there were close to 300 rides on the slide. Age Range: 2 to 11 years.
“I did the pulling for this event; I did not demonstrate Tow Skim in action on the beach….too knackered. “
(Editors Note: rightly so! 300 kids …you’re an IronMan, Ian, for sure!)”
